Starpainter

"I live on the last road at the very edge of Lethbridge," says Starpainter's singer/songwriter Joel Stretch. "It's easy to head out into the country from where I live. That kinda sums up the Starpainter mindset musically — we're a town band, but we drift off into country tones any time we want." Starpainter has been folk-rocking across town and country for the last few years in support of their sophomore full-length, Rattlesnake Dream (2023). They've played shows and festivals across Canada and Japan in support of the release, including NXNE in Toronto and Calgary Folk Music Festival. Starpainter recently completed their follow-up, Cayenne Flowerbed, to be released Spring of 2026.
